The Distillerie Naud

NAUD brandies and spirits reflect the heritage of traditions passed down over five generations by the Naud family and the acronym "Noble and Unusual Distillery", characterising the estate's label's innovative and modern expression.

The NAUD brand is first and foremost a local anchorage in Charente-Maritime, where the family ancestor, Émile Perrier, founded in 1923 his first liqueur distillery in the heart of Pons. In 1936, Émile's son converted the 19th-century grain mill of Pinthiers into a cognac distillery. The Perrier  Distillery was born! Well hidden amongst the linden and willow trees and set upon the tiny island of Pinthiers, the old 19th-century limestone building, bordered by two arms of the River Seugne, has witnessed Emile Perrier's meticulous production of original liqueurs for decades.

In the 1980s, the discreet but ingenious Jean-Michel Naud, Robert Perrier's son-in-law, inherited the family distillery and gave it and its productions a serious facelift! With the help of his children, Pierre and Clarisse, an oenologist deeply rooted in the Charente terroir, reignited the flames under the five traditional 2,500-litre Charente pot stills to produce small batches of unique eaux de vie and spirits featuring an elegant roundness.

On their 100-hectare estate, the family inheritors perpetuate their know-how as winegrowers, winemakers, wine merchants (five ageing cellars) and master distillers since 1923. As a result, excellence, tradition and passion combine in a modern and renewed spirit to offer us a selection of original and appealing spirits, including a gin, vodka, single cask rum, two spiced rums, and some fabulous cognacs.

In addition, the Naud Distillery Estate also houses a cosy cottage nestled between the willows of Pinthiers Island and lulled by the mill's water for a quiet weekend away in the countryside.

French Vodka

Specifications

40 % alc. vol. / 70 cl

Explorers at heart, Jean-Michel and Pierre Naud, have selected the best winter wheat from the fertile lands of the northeast of Paris to produce a vodka of exceptional quality. Recalling the days when ground wheat poured through the mill, cereal aromas are again lingering in the family distillery thanks to the sixth distillation in its copper stills. Blended with spring water, naturally filtered through the estate's limestone soils, this crystal-clear vodka is the purest expression of French elegance.
